Okay, so the Word says we are to speak only good things, “that it might benefit those who listen,”
What wisdom or knowledge or encouragement do I have for you? God created and loves you. Jesus was God in flesh, who died for you and was raised to life for you to have eternal life.
Beyond the bible, I don’t know what I have to offer. A bit of fiction, a bit of WIP art? What really matters? I know I probably can’t answer the big questions on my own. Who can?
So..
I want to decide on a long term comic if possible. I would love a second writer for it. I have someone in mind, but I’m not sure if he’s willing/able. I guess what I want is a consultant. Someone who will listen to my ideas, suggest things, help me flesh out my vision.
I hope my comics are a positive influence for future creators, cartoonists or otherwise. I will say this: sometimes the art flows, sometimes the writing flows. When both do, you have a big blessing. But when one doesn’t work for you, often the other will. When neither work, you’re experiencing the block (commonly writer’s block). Your best bet is to consume a lot of media, preferably of the kind you create, though not necessarily.
Another thing you can do is go back to your earlier creations. Retrace your steps, and see if you can find new inspiration from old things. Hope that helps.
