I am so grateful for God’s gift of sleep. To lie down, get comfortable, and just rest. Sleep is restorative. You might go to bed early because you’re sick and then wake up feeling a little (or a lot) better.
Then there’s the dreams. Such good dreams. Sure there’s a nightmare in there every so often, but even those help you pay attention to how you are living your life. So many of my dreams would be great projects if I could realize half of what I dreamed.
Even the little naps are helpful. Sometimes just a 15-30 minute nap helps refocus you and re-energize you for a bit. Thank You, Lord, for sleep.
