Dear XTC,
Thank you for this day.
I’m doing the pencils on my first page of my latest comic. Sadly, I have to redo it. I have to anthropomorphize the characters a bit more to make it make sense to the reader. I don’t trust that they’ll understand what I’m trying to accomplish if I don’t. So I’m abandoning etymology in favor of fairy lore. I did it for the right reasons, but it almost gives me satisfaction to snub science. I know that’s not right. Good science points to God, and many of the founding scientists in the Enlightenment believed in some sort of deity, whether the scientists were Catholic, Deist, Anglican, or what have you. Examples: Francis Bacon, Louis Pascal.
Went to therapy yesterday. It was good. Doc basically said my eye problems weren’t something we could fix with medicine. So I resolve to eat around the time it happens, get new lenses on my glasses when I can, and pray.
In any case, It’s a new day. Guess we should get it started. Redo page 1, and continue. I may have to do some concept work for the characters. They would probably look better that way. More later.
Thanks for reading!
