Dear Father,
Thank you for this day. Not a lot is going on. I’m kind of trying to retrace my steps. Figure out where I went wrong in our relationship. I have confessed those things, asked for forgiveness. A lot of it was things I wanted to buy, lust of the eyes. Do I need to get rid of those things? Or is it enough to confess? At the end of Gawaine and the Green Knight, Gawaine confesses his sins to a priest, but keeps the girdle given by the king’s wife. So did he really repent? He kept what he obtained by falsehood.
Yet I don’t sense the Spirit telling me to sell those items. I don’t use any of them except the computer, and that’s mostly for creative work. Lord help me.
Love,
Trem
