Dear Father and Future Telling

Dear Father,

Thank you for this day. Not a lot is going on. I need to get into my room at do devo. I'm feeling a bit nauseated though, Lord, so I'm not sure that's going to be possible.

Well, got a full day of work today (really 7 instead of 8 hours, but that's fine).

I am grateful they've been giving me enough hours. That really makes a difference. I hope I'm with my company for many years. It's already been four, and that's the longest I've worked anywhere.

Gotta get to work soon.

Love,

Trem

P.S. I was reading the prophet Zephaniah yesterday. In the New Testament, it predicts the entire universe being destroyed in fire. In Zephaniah 1:18, it reads:

“Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them on the day of the LORD’S wrath; and all the earth will be devoured in the fire of His jealousy, For he will make a complete end, indeed a terrifying one, of all the inhabitants of the earth”

All the inhabitants of the earth? Yes. If you don’t believe me, read it for yourself. Zephaniah is an OT prophet right after Habbakuk and before Haggai. The Old Testament is reinforced by the New Testament, and vice versa. You say,”Well, the earth has been forever, and will continue forever,” To which I will ask, what about the Flood?

Every culture on earth has a flood story. In Genesis we read that God destroyed the world in the Flood, saving eight people and enough animals to repopulate. So you should believe the possibility of the destruction of the world by fire. If nothing else, what about a really strong, perfectly timed solar flare? Or another meteor, if you believe in the first one? Not sure this will be entirely useful now, but one day, you’ll remember that I wrote this. I hope you believe in Jesus, or repent and believe in Jesus, before that happens.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of the Lord endures forever,”
