We made potato soup (M. and me), but I scorched it at the very end. I should’ve been watching it and I wasn’t. So, I’m trying to make mashed potatoes quickly so Mom will have some supper. Maybe I should just pick her up something. I don’t know. :(
I baked some and microwaved some. Then I called A. D. She said potatoes bake in the oven for an hour. An hour?! Oh snap! Well, I’m going to try to finish them off in the microwave. It’ll take a little time, but I should be able to finish it before M. gets home. I want to make it to church, too. :( I’m worried.

Please help me to do this right. I feel like a failure for messing up the potatoes, especially since we worked so hard at it. Please help M. to forgive me, and from now on, maybe I can work on the computer in the kitchen so I don’t burn anything.
