Okay, so this is my second post of the day. I’ve been thinking about how the culture around me has been slowly (or not so slowly) corrupting itself. Part of this is because of the media. You will never see a heterosexual married couple in bed together. Most of the time you see fornication, that is, two people having sex that aren’t married.
Let’s be very clear about this. The bible says “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and adultery is having sex outside of the marriage covenant. I’m not going to argue traditional marriage here, because I think the bible is clear. If you disagree with the bible, that’s up to you. I’m not the authority, scripture is. Read it for yourself.
We punish people for murder, theft, lying under oath (we hope), but not for adultery or covetousness. Coveting is wanting what someone else has. Some people say that it’s attempting to take what someone has because you want it. I think the sin is actually in the wanting. If you look at a person eating cookies, and you want cookies, that’s wrong. If you get cookies after this, that’s also wrong. It shouldn’t be a matter of interpretation.
I doubt anyone will listen to me, but that’s okay. We “reap what we sow.” When we violate God’s command, whatever command it is, we will suffer. Most abortions follow fornication. People have sex and then try to get rid of the consequences. They then say “a woman has a right to choose what happens to her body,”
However, the baby is not part of her body. It’s attached, but it’s DNA is different than the mother, therefore it is no longer part of her body. It is a different organism. I guess I just get tired of people abandoning God from misused science and then believing things that are contrary to science.
There is no way to change your DNA in large ways without changing who you are. If you have an organ, such as a brain, with different DNA than the rest of the body, the body’s immune system would attack it, and the body would die. It just doesn’t work.
