Ducats are just a way of regulating extra prime parts. It decreases the supply thus raising the value of platinum (in game currency). If people buy platinum, they are inflating the currency. As people farm relics and sell for plat, it becomes a sellers market, decreasing the value of the in game currency.
I guess that’s just basic economics, but I wish players understood that. I wonder if we could shift the equilibrium in favor of a sellers market, where things are cheap. I got a prime frame for 120 plat, which, if you go to the market, you can get a regular frame for about 275. It’s definitely a sellers market right now, but that may change.
