Praying for our leaders and not speaking evil of them

During President Biden's term in office, I prayed for him every day. During this administration, the same thing.

We are required as believers to thank God for our leaders, intercede for them, and plead that God would help them. Also is the prayer that they would believe in Jesus in a saving way. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

When Paul is before the Sanhedrin in Acts, he calls the high priest a ‘white washed wall’

But when he finds out the man who spoke to him was the high priest, he apologized and quoted scripture ‘do not speak evil of one of your rulers.’ Acts 23:5

There is a lot of disrespect and even death threats for our President these days. But Christians need to guard their walk and their lips. Because if we stumble in one commandment, we are guilty of all.

When the American people put another President in office, regardless of which political party they belong to, then I will continue to thank God for them, and intercede for them, so that we can live peaceful godly lives, and focus on making disciples.

Also, Mr. President, Mr. Musk, please reconcile with each other. Politics shouldn’t be more important than friendships. And a good, trustworthy friend can be hard to find.

I may never preach again. In Defense of Israel.
