XTC and wrestlings with powers

Dear XTC,

Thank you for this day. Not a lot is going on. I was feeling pretty down this morning, so I took a bit of time, prayed, and listened to Christian music. I feel like I’m wrestilng with those principalities, powers, and dominions today. I think it’s a result of my ministry with T. Last night I missed church.

It’s a fight, but I want to stay positive. Keep fighting the good fight. I’ve dealt with depression before, and although I hope this is just a blip on the screen, God is faithful.I have so much to be grateful for, food, clothing, and so much more. God help me be content with my daily bread and stop seeking more and more.

It’s like that old Target commercial,”A little bit more, a little bit more,” It’s pervasive, but we can do better. We know that more stuff isn’t going to make us happy, give us meaning. No job, relationship, or anything in this world is going to give us what we need. We need a relationship with Jesus and His Father, and that only comes through Jesus’, repenting of our sins, turning to Jesus, accepting him, asking him into our hearts to be our Lord and Savior. Then you find a church, confess his Lordship in front of the church, publicly, get baptized (immersed), and grow in your relationship with the Lord. How do you do that? Read the bible, go to church (I know I need to do better), fellowship with other believers, obey God’s commandments. Love God and love your neighbor.

I hope this isn’t too overwhelming for you. I’m laying it on pretty thick. Each of those steps takes time. Thinking about it gives me courage. God is faithful. For those of us who believe, we have a glorious future, an eternal kingdom that will never be moved.
