Is it not punished?

You may argue this point, but our laws in dealing with each other stem from the 10 commandments. The first 4 deal with our relationship with God, whereas the last 6 are based on our relationships with each other.

We punish theft, we punish murder, we generally punish perjury, although we don’t punish lying in general.

Coveting can lead to the aforementioned crimes. Still, what about adultery? God designed sex to be part of the covenant he made with Adam and Eve. It’s supposed to be one man, one woman, for life.

I think if we punished it, we wouldn’t have enough jail cells to hold everyone. Life is messy, people are human, but things like fornication (sex before/without marriage), adultery (cheating on your spouse), causes a lot of damage to your relationships. It is also rebellion against God.
