Dear Father and sharing

Dear Father,

Thank you for this day. Not a lot is going on. I actually have a lot to do today. Please help me have a good day, and protect my register.

So I was thinking of a couple verses today, but it turns out I shared those already! So, let me do another few verses from Galatians. It’s a great book.

11 “See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

12 Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which[a] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to[b] the Israel of God.”

Galatians 6:11-16, indeed, the whole book, addresses a church that is going back to the old Law, the feasts, sabbath (on Saturday), and leaving behind the new revelation in Christ. If your church is getting too much Judaism, they need to read the letter of Galatians. Most people accept this change in their churches because they don’t read/know the bible. It’s different if you’re a Messianic Jew. But Gentiles were never meant to observe feasts and new moons and especially circumcision.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law, so we don’t have to sacrifice animals, or observe feasts, or even abstain from pork or eating shellfish.

I can’t say it better than the book of Galatians says it. Read it, especially if you’re trying to obey the Law without Christ. Without Christ, there is no salvation, no righteousness that is sufficient, and really? No one can keep the whole Law. They will mess something up. The Law was given to prepare us for Jesus by helping us understand that we are sinners apart from a holy God, and Christ comes to be the perfect sacrifice (like the Passover), so we are free to walk in the Spirit, obeying Him and obeying God’s commands in a way no nonbeliever can.

So submit to God’s will, acknowledge Him as God, ask Him to fill You with His Spirit, and for the Holy Spirit to lead you, and that you may walk in the Spirit. Oh, and go to church on Sunday.
